Hi! I’m Anna Haskin.

I spent much of my life in the mountains of Colorado and Washington (USA) but have called Utrecht, NL home since 2016. I love living in this beautiful city with my husband and our dog, Alfie, and staying active with dog walks in nature, yoga, Pilates, and kickboxing.

My martial arts journey began in my mid-twenties after realizing I wanted to feel safer as a woman moving through the world. I found my community at Total Confidence Martial Arts in Bellingham, WA and after years of diligent training I earned my first-degree black belt in 2011 and my second-degree black belt in 2014. In 2013 I challenged myself by competing in an amateur Muay Thai fight. After four months of grueling, 6-day-a-week training and a fight I’m incredibly proud of, I came out humbled, empowered, and knowing I am more capable than I imagined.

Since relocating to the Netherlands, I’ve continued to train and teach Muay Thai and kickboxing, and have expanded my focus to self-defense. After experiencing the impact of the JUNO Women’s Self-Defense program myself I decided I wanted to teach this to others. I completed the intensive and rigorous Basics and Intermediate instructor certifications in 2022 and 2023, led by JUNO founder and 3rd-degree Krav Maga black belt, Synthia Stoffer.

Over the years, I’ve learned a lot of badass techniques, but the most meaningful and lasting skills have been growing my self-confidence, boundary setting, communicating clearly, connecting with lots of different people, and realizing how deeply resilient we all are. These are the benefits I want you to experience too. I’m here to help you build physical, mental, and emotional strength and resilience through practical training that meets you where you are. I look forward to working together!
